Cashless Hospitals in Raipur:
How to Check Your Insurer's List
Every insurer keeps its own network list for Raipur, and it changes through the year. Here is how to check before you go in, and what to do at a planned or emergency admission.

Cashless treatment works only at hospitals in your insurer's network, and those lists change through the year. Check the hospital's status before a planned admission, carry your policy details and ID, and tell the insurer as early as your policy requires.
Check before you go in
Each insurer keeps its own list of cashless hospitals in Raipur, Bilaspur, Durg and Bhilai, and hospitals join and leave those lists during the year. A hospital that was cashless when you bought the policy may not be today.
We place and service cover with Star Health, Care Health, Niva Bupa, HDFC Ergo, ICICI Lombard, Aditya Birla Health and Tata AIG. If your policy is with any of them through us, send the hospital's name on WhatsApp and we will confirm its current network status with the insurer, ideally a few days before a planned admission.
It is worth knowing two or three network hospitals close to home before you ever need one. Ask us and we will tell you which ones apply to your policy.
How cashless approval works
- Planned treatment. The hospital's insurance desk sends a pre-authorisation request to the insurer, usually a few days before admission. Once approved, the insurer pays the hospital directly, up to your policy's limits.
- Emergency. Get treated first. The hospital's insurance desk sends the request after admission. Intimate the insurer within the window your policy states, often 24 hours.
- At discharge. The hospital sends the final bill for approval. You pay only what the policy does not cover, such as consumables excluded by the policy, co-payment or charges above a room-rent limit.
IRDAI's 2024 master circular on health insurance asks insurers to decide cashless requests within an hour and to give final discharge approval within three hours of the hospital's request. If approval is taking far longer, tell us and we will escalate.
Why cashless gets refused
- The hospital is not in the network, or has left it since you last checked.
- The policy has lapsed, or the illness falls within a waiting period or an exclusion.
- The room chosen is above your policy's room-rent eligibility.
- Something material was not disclosed on the proposal form.
A refused cashless request is not a rejected claim. You can usually still pay the hospital and claim reimbursement afterwards, with the discharge summary, bills, reports and prescriptions.
Before you need it
Save your policy number and the insurer's claim helpline in your phone, keep an e-card for each insured member, and know which two or three Raipur hospitals near you are in your network. Ten minutes now saves a stressful hour at an admission desk.
