01 — The Short Version

One File, Several Lenders

A personal loan is unsecured: you pledge nothing, so the lender decides almost entirely on three things. Your income, your credit history and the EMIs you already pay. Two people with the same salary can get very different answers from the same bank because of what sits in their credit report.

That is why applying everywhere at once is a mistake. Every application creates a hard enquiry on your CIBIL report, and a cluster of enquiries in a few weeks tells the next lender you are being turned down elsewhere. We work the other way round: read your report, check your income documents, and approach the two or three lenders on our panel whose rules actually fit.

We arrange the loan; the lender decides it. Final sanction, rate and terms are decided by the lender, and we tell you plainly when a file is not ready rather than sending it out to be declined.

02 — Who It Suits

Salaried

Salaried Employees

Government, PSU and private-sector staff. Lenders look at the employer, the length of service and the salary credited to your account each month.

Self-Employed

Traders & Business Owners

Shop owners, traders and small manufacturers with ITRs and business banking. Some lenders read business income far better than others.

Professionals

Doctors, CAs & Lawyers

Practising professionals, where lenders weigh qualification, years in practice and ITR history.

Planned Costs

Weddings, Education, Travel

One-off expenses with a known amount, repaid over a few years from regular income.

Medical

Medical & Emergencies

When health cover falls short. If it keeps happening, the fix is better health insurance, not more loans.

Debt Clean-Up

Consolidating Card Debt

Replacing several high-cost card balances with one EMI, provided the cards are then actually closed.

03 — Eligibility

What Lenders Actually Check

Thresholds differ from lender to lender and change often, so we describe what is checked rather than promise numbers.

Income
Your net monthly income, how regular it is, and whether it shows in your bank statements. For salaried applicants it is the salary credit; for the self-employed it is the income in your ITRs, read alongside your business banking.
Employer or business
Lenders categorise employers and businesses. A listed company or government department is read differently from a new firm, and a business with several years of filed returns differs from one with a single year.
Credit report (CIBIL)
Your repayment history on every loan and card, how much of your card limits you use, how many recent enquiries you have, and any settled or written-off account. The score is a summary; lenders read the detail.
Existing EMIs (FOIR)
Fixed obligations to income ratio: the share of your income already going to EMIs. Every lender caps it, so the EMIs you already pay decide how large a new EMI can be.
Age and tenure
Your age at the end of the loan, and the tenure you ask for. A longer tenure lowers the EMI and raises the total interest paid.
Stability
Time in your current job or business, and at your current address. Frequent changes are not a bar, but they are asked about.

04 — Documents

What to Keep Ready

Salaried

Your Paperwork

PAN and Aadhaar, recent salary slips, salary-account bank statements for the last several months, Form 16 or ITR, and your employee ID or offer letter.

Self-Employed

Your Paperwork

PAN and Aadhaar, ITRs with computation for the last two to three years, business bank statements, and proof of business such as GST registration, Udyam registration or a shop licence.

Both

Before You Apply

Your own credit report, a list of every loan and card you hold, and the exact amount you need. We check all of it once, so the lender asks once.

05 — How It Works

From First Call to Disbursal

Talk

A free call or visit. We note the amount, the purpose and your income, and ask for the documents listed above.

Check

We read your credit report and income papers together, fix what can be fixed, and tell you honestly if waiting would get you a better answer.

Compare

We shortlist lenders from our panel of banks and NBFCs and put their offers side by side: EMI, tenure, processing fee and foreclosure terms.

Sanction

You choose. The lender verifies, sanctions and disburses directly into your bank account. We follow up until the money arrives.

06 — Comparing Offers & Avoiding Fraud

How we compare offers across lenders

Our lending panel includes banks such as SBI, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, Bank of Baroda, Kotak Mahindra, IDFC First, Yes Bank, Union Bank and PNB, and NBFCs such as Tata Capital, Cholamandalam, HDB and IIFL. Which ones we approach depends on your profile, not on a fixed list.

When offers come back, we compare the whole cost, not just the headline EMI:

  • The EMI and the tenure together. A lower EMI over a longer tenure usually means more interest in total.
  • Processing fee and other charges, as written in the sanction letter.
  • Insurance bundled with the loan. It may be useful, but it should be your choice, and its cost should be visible.
  • Prepayment and foreclosure terms, if you expect a bonus or a business receipt that could close the loan early.

What a loan agent should and should not charge

A loan agent or DSA in Raipur is engaged by banks and NBFCs to source and prepare applications. MGR WealthPro charges you nothing for comparing lenders, preparing your file or following up on the sanction. The only charges you pay are the lender's own, and they appear in the lender's sanction letter, not on a slip of paper from an agent.

How to avoid personal loan fraud

  • No upfront fees. Anyone asking for a "file charge", "insurance deposit" or "approval fee" before sanction, in cash or to a personal UPI ID, is a warning sign.
  • Nobody can promise approval. Only the lender decides. Anyone promising a sanction regardless of your profile cannot deliver it.
  • Verify the lender. The sanction letter should come from the bank or NBFC itself, and the loan should be disbursed into your own account.
  • Never share an OTP, net-banking password or blank signed cheque with anyone arranging a loan.
  • Be careful with loan apps that ask for access to your contacts and photos.

Personal loan, loan against property or business loan?

A personal loan is the quickest to arrange because nothing is pledged, but for the same reason it is usually the most expensive form of borrowing a bank offers. Before you take one, consider whether a cheaper route fits:

  • Loan against property: if you own a house or shop and need a larger amount over a longer period, a secured loan usually costs considerably less.
  • Business loan: if the money is for stock, machinery or working capital, a business loan matches repayment to the business. For a small first loan, see Mudra loans.
  • Home loan top-up: if you already have a home loan with a good repayment record, a top-up is often cheaper than a personal loan.

Final sanction, rate and terms are decided by the lender. MGR WealthPro arranges loans through partner banks and NBFCs and does not lend in its own name.

07 — Questions

Asked
Every Week

Straight answers to what people in Raipur ask us most.

Is it safe to use a loan agent for a personal loan?

Yes, if the money moves only between you and the lender. A genuine loan agent or DSA prepares and submits your application; the bank or NBFC checks it, sanctions it and disburses the loan straight into your own bank account. Never pay anyone an upfront "processing" or "file" fee in cash or to a personal UPI ID, and never share an OTP. MGR WealthPro does not charge you anything, and the lender's own charges appear in its sanction letter.

Can I get a personal loan with a low CIBIL score?

Sometimes, but it is harder and usually costs more. Lenders read the whole report, not just the number: a recent missed EMI hurts more than an old one that has since been cleared, and a credit card still showing a balance you thought was closed is a common, fixable problem. We read the report with you first, correct what can be corrected, and only then approach lenders whose rules fit. If the honest answer is to wait a few months, we will say so.

Self-employed ke liye personal loan milega?

Haan, mil sakta hai. Self-employed applicants can get personal loans, but lenders want to see income on paper: usually two to three years of ITRs, a year of business bank statements and proof that the business exists, such as GST registration or a shop licence. Some lenders assess self-employed income far better than others, which is where comparing across banks and NBFCs helps.

Personal loan kaise milega, aur kitna time lagta hai?

Pehle eligibility check hoti hai, phir documents aur application. The lender checks your income, your credit report and your existing EMIs, verifies your documents and employer or business, and then issues a sanction. Time varies by lender and by how complete your file is, so we do not promise a timeline; a complete, consistent file is what speeds it up.

Do you charge anything for arranging a personal loan?

No. We do not charge you for comparing lenders, preparing the file or following up. Lenders levy their own processing fee and other charges, and we go through each of them with you, in writing, before you accept a sanction.

Is a personal loan better than a loan against property?

For a small amount needed quickly and repaid over a few years, a personal loan is simpler because it needs no collateral. For a larger amount, or a longer repayment, a loan against property is usually far cheaper because it is secured. If you already have a home loan, a top-up on it may also cost less than a personal loan.

Can I take a personal loan to start a business?

Lenders generally expect business needs to be met with a business loan, and a business loan is usually structured better for it: repayment can follow cash flow, and it builds a credit history for the business. For a small first loan for a micro business, a Mudra loan from a bank is also worth considering.
